AI for Every Student

Mission:

Graduate 43,000+ digital citizens ready to win the $1.8 Trillion AI Tech future.

Funding provided by

the Kirin Family and 11:11 Philosophers Group.

Overview

AI for Every Student is NOAI’s philanthropic project to bring AI to K-12 students, starting with the 43,000+ students of New Orleans. NOAI and 11:11 Philosophers Group – in partnership with New Schools New Orleans (NSNO), Khan Academy, and College Track New Orleans – facilitate funding for professional development and AI tools in classrooms.

During our NOAI festival on November 11th, we aim for participants to share their work and experiences bringing AI to the classroom. Our ultimate goal is safe and effective AI implementation in schools everywhere.

Global Impact, Born in New Orleans

New Orleans has a decentralized public school system. By meeting the needs of our 43,000+ students first, we can meet educational interests everywhere.

Khan Academy, A Trusted Partner

AI for Every Student calls Khan Academy a close partner. Our partnership means reduced costs for Khanmigo and added support for Khan Academy tools.

What We Offer

We intend to provide an annual budget of approximately $20 per student and $400 per teacher to all New Orleans public schools. Funds are used for Professional Development, AI tools, and student resources that work toward clear time-based outcomes.

Example Outcomes:

  • AI Student Handbook: Co-created, school-wide standards around AI, used to promote academic excellence.
  • Poster Presentations: Student material that showcases lessons learned around AI technology, promoting peer-to-peer learning.
  • AI Skills Certificates: Training and resources that yield certificates that prove AI-related skills mastery.

11:11 Philosophers Group will study the long-term impact of this program in approving skills mastery and teacher retention across New Orleans.

What We Ask

  • Schools identify a teacher or staff member excited about using Artificial Intelligence in the classroom and can help champion AI at your school. This AI lead can expect to dedicate 5-10 monthly hours to champion AI for Every Student.
  • Students and teachers contribute to the annual NOAI Festival and connect with other participating educators to share lessons learned.
  • Schools commit to  “outputs” to deliver that align with the AI for Every Student outcomes. This helps us continue to raise the funds necessary to support this initiative.

Request Funding

Educators, administrators, or students may contact 1111@philosophers.group to participate in AI for Every Student.

Funding is available to K-12 schools throughout the New Orleans area.

Funding Process

An AI for Every Student team member will meet with an interested AI lead at the school to discuss the opportunity and establish their needs.

From that initial meeting, schools submit a budget that outlines how they aim to increase AI literacy within their school. The budget must include time-based outcome goals. Schools will invoice NOAI for expenses related to the program.

For Example: During the 2025 Fall Semester, our school will host 3 PDs over 4 months to explore 3 key areas of AI: Safety/Ethics, Creativity, and Academic Excellence. 20 teachers will be paid $100/PD and we’ll need Khanmigo for 1000 students, which costs $14/student/year. PDs result in schoolwide AI policies in our student handbook, introduced to students at the beginning of our Spring semester.
